Celebrities who have been Banned from using Twitter

Twitter has become one of the most powerful social media platforms that people use to share and promote their work. There are so many Bollywood and Hollywood celebrities on twitter along with politicians and sportsman who actively share their thoughts. The fans of these celebrities follow them and spread the word of mouth.

But many people take wrong advantage of this and believe in negative publicity. Twitter also keep an eye on their tweets and if find anything abusive or foul, block them away.

One such twitter account of KRK was blocked who always believed in writing negative and abusive language for others. It was an initiative made by Amir Khan after his released movie “Secret Superstar”. KRK had revealed the climax of this movie before its release. The makers of the movie reported to the Twitter which suspended his account forever.

In May, 2017 singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya twitter account was suspended owing to the statement he made earlier. The famous singer of India made sexist and offensive remarks targetting at some female twitter users. He made vulgar remarks against Shehla Rashid who was a JNU student-activist. Twitter suspended his account following that incidence.

After the suspension, Abhijeet blamed twitter to be anti-national, anti-Hindi and anti-Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Twitter banned the twitter account of Clint Eastwood thinking it was fake. The actor was 84 years old and was not well aware with the use of this platform. The “Gran Torino” director had tweeted post 2016 election, “Thank you America, I don’t have long left to live but now I know the last few years will be great, I can’t thank you enough #PresidentTrump.”

Twitter banned account of Rose McGowan when she made sexual abuse allegations against Harvey Weinstein.

She also spoke out a lot against Ben Affleck. She also supported many other females who had criticised Weinstein earlier for sexual abuse. The producer, Wrinstein had involved in such controversies earlier also. Twitter banned the account of Rose claiming it had contained personal phone number but supported Rose to raise her voice. It later released a statement, “proud to empower and support the voices on our platform, especially those that speak truth to power.”

50 Cent

Twitter suspended the twitter account of this celebrity but that not the actual one. It suspended Twitpic account of 50 Cent which he used to let users post photos and videos on Twitter. Once he posted a picture of a woman with a hamburger between her butt and captioned it, “Y’all like my Kim K burger?”.

Real name of the “Candy Shop” rapper is Curtis Jackson. His account was suspended but he apologised and the account was reactivated by Twitter. He also marked that his content with the controversial photo was strictly for “motherf-ckers ages 18 and older.”

In 2009, Courtney Love went on a rant against fashion designer Dawn Simorangkir calling her, “a drug-pushing, thieving prostitute with a history of assault and battery.” Simorangkir later sued her in 2011 and Twitter suspended Love’s twitter account,  “CourtneyLoveUK”. But later the “Doll Parts” singer opened another twitter account and now tweets with @Courtney.

The YouTube star PewDiePie once made a joke that he had joined ISIS in the year 2016. Along with this had made some other controversial statements also on the social media platform owing to which his account was suspended. But his account was later reactivated and he still writes on it.

Owing to her past history, twitter blocked her account. She later tried to rejoin twitter under a new account but suspended every time.

Adele would one time used to tweet while boozing. She was not banned by the twitter platform itself but rather her managers. She now writers her own tweets with account @Adele but those are approved by her management before publishing.
