Geoffrey Rush Quits from AACTA Job

Geoffrey Rush
Hollywood actor Geoffrey Rush who is an Academy and Emmy Award winner along with few others prestigious awards has resigned as the head of an Australian Academy of Cinema and Television(AACTA). He was serving the title in the academy for several years.

The whole incident happened after the agency received a complaint alleging that the veteran actor had behaved inappropriately with others during his work in the company.

Rush who was born on 6 July 1951 has also denied any wrong doing on his behalf. AACTA has accepted his resignation with respect.

This is still not revealed who made complaint against Rush but it is believed it was during his tenure in 2015 and 2016. After giving resignation Rush told, “The moment I became aware of rumors of a complaint I immediately phoned and spoke to the senior management at the Sydney Theater Company asking for clarification about the details of the statement. They refused to illuminate me with the details.”
