Priyanka Chopra, our very “Desi Girl”, striving very hard to make her presence in Hollywood as well, after creating a niche in Bollywood. She is both excited and sometimes feels pressure in this new venture at the same time.
Recently, on February 28, 2016, she appeared in an Oscar Award also to present Best Editing Award to Margaret Sixel. “I feel exhausted, but I also feel a sense of accomplishment with everything that has happened so far. I have worked very hard for this,” says the actor and said further, “But I know there are many more miles to go and milestones to achieve before I sleep.”
She wore a white sheer gown designed by Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad, in the Oscars red carpet and got a huge appreciation in her looks and the way she carried it. She said, “I had multiple options, but I went with what I was feeling that day. I loved the color and the fact that it was classy and elegant. It felt right when I put it on and I could not believe the pressure that was on me, so it was a relief that my outfit was appreciated. The fashion critics and the media on the red carpet, the people I met at the show-everyone had very nice things to say about the gown.”
This year had been very active for Priyanka and she won best supporting actress award also in Film fare Awards 2015. Currently she is Miami to shoot for her new film Baywatch. When asked she told, “I love the creative rush I get from being on a film set. The excitement to work on a new film, to get into the skin of my character, understanding the thought process of my director, and getting to know my co-stars-all of this makes it an amazing experience.”
Priyanka’s childhood was spent in different parts of India owing to her father’s Army background. But she considers Bareley as her city as she spent most of her childhood there. She loved her father a lot and tattooed “My father’s princess” on her wrist. Her father died of cancer last year. She is very close to her family and lives on the same floor of the apartments her family lives and has a younger brother also.
The 33 years old actress has proved in her journey so far that there is nothing that can stop a girl from small place to make her big name in the Bollywood and Hollywood both. She had no god father in the industry when entered the film industry and struggled her to make her place. Her journey so far in the industry was not an easy one and she had to face a lot of failures before getting this fame. We wish her all the best for all her upcoming movies and future.
