Smartphones have made our lives easier and comfortable. In the year 2016, lot of smart phones were launched; few were just awesome, and others so-so. Not all smartphones were sought after much by the people, and only few made news in the headlines. Here’s a list of top smartphones that were launched in 2016.

Apple iPhone 7

iPhones are always in the top list of smartphones and people wait for the launch of their new model everytime.

iPhone7 was launched in the month of October 2016 with a bigger screen variant. This smartphone had come with a sensation among masses as it came with a lot of new mind-blowing features. iPhone 7 Plus model with biggest screen are priced at Rs 72,000 for 32GB, while 28GB for Rs 82,000, and Rs 92,000 for 256GB.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3

This smartphone was launched in the month of April 2016. It came in two RAM and storage versions of models, one with 2GB of RAM with 16GB of inbuild storage and the other with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuild storage.

Redme Note 3 has a 650 processor and has a screen size of 5.5 inch with 4050mAh battery. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has a 16-Megapixel of rear camera while 5 Megapixel of front camera.

Lenovo K4 Note

It was launched in January 2016 at the price of Rs 11, 999 and is equipped with AntVR virtual reality headsets. Lenovo K4 Note comes with a screen size of 5.5 inch with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The phone comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front facing camera.

OnePlus 3

OnePlus 3 was launched in the month of June 2016 at the price of Rs 27, 999. It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC processor with Adreno 530 GPU on board, and 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM.

Google Pixel

The smartphone was launched in September 2016. It was the first smartphone designed with the collaboration of Google, Pixel and Pixel XL.

Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL both are almost same except the display.

Lenovo Vibe K5 Note

It comes with built-in storage of 16GB and screen size of 5.5-inch-full=HD IPS display.

Lenovo Vibe K5 Note is powered by a  MediaTek processor clocked at 1.8GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM and Mali-T860 GPU

Moto G4

Motorola phones always fall into the budget range and people wait for the new launches. Moto G4 phone was launched in June 2016 at a price of Rs. 12, 499. It was announced with the Moto G4 Plus model in May the same year, but the price and other details were not revealed. The difference between Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus is that the later comes with fingerprint sensor.

Both the models support dual-Sim availability and VoLTE connectivity.

Freedom 251

Freedom 251 was launched by Noida-based Ringing Bell. It came into news and became a sensation owing to its cheapest price. Many thought it a bogust and a controversy swirled round.  The company got lot of application online, but it later came into news with reports that they are closing their business and the company is shutting down. People critisized the Ringing Bells, but it claimed that it has delivered around 70, 000 units of Freedom 251  to the people in states like, Haryana, New Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand etc.
