A German Airbus A320 plane carrying around 146 passengers crashed in Paris on Tuesday, 24 March in the southern French Alps of the city, confirmed by police and aviation officials.

According to sources the crashed plane belonged to German wings, which is an affiliate of German Airline Lufthansa and was traveling between Barcelona and Dusselforg, around 142 passengers and 6 crew members were on board in the flight. None of the survivor is expected in the plane crash and fearing death of all the passengers, French President told.

  • The Airbus was reportedly flying to a height of 38,000 feet initially before it started plummeting down. It lost signal at the height of 6,800 feet, reported by Flightradar24.
  • The flight Airbus went off the radars at 09:39 UTC in the French Alps according to the reports.
  • According to some local reports, there was no signal of a technical fault or distress issued by the Airbus 320 before getting crushed.
  • The speed of the plane was also within the standard range of about 3000-4000 feet per minute, the Flightradar24 reported.
  • Sources said the plane belonged to German Wings, an affiliate of German airline Lufthansa, traveling between Barcelona and Dusseldorf. The single-aisle A320 typically seats 150 to 180 people.
  • According to a local La Provence newspaper reports, 142 passengers and 6 crew members were on board in the flight.
  • No survivors are expected in the plane crash, French President Hollande said.
