Udaipur, better known as the city of lakes is one of the famous tourist spot in India. It was established in 1559 as the capital city of Mewar Regime by the then Maharaj Rana Udai Singh.

    If you are planning to visit Udaipur, do not forget to visit this palace. Sajjan Garh in Udaipur was built by king Sajjan Singh in 1884. You need to cross Sajjan Garh Wildlife Sanctuary to reach this palace.

    Sajjan Garh is also known as Monsoon Palace. It got its name Sajjan Garh on Maharana Sajjan Singh who was the ruler of Mewar Dynasty from 1874 to 1884 .Sajjan Garh is called Monsoon Palace as it was originally built to get the view of monsoon clouds. This is also said that Sajjan Singh built the palace on top of the hills to get a view of his ancestral home of Chittorgarh.

    This is a beautiful garden which was built in Udaipur by Maharaj Sangram Singh in the 19th century. It is said that the garden was personally gifted by the king to her queen after their marriage.     The architecture of the garden is eye catching with its lush greenery, beautiful fountains and decoration.

    Each water channel in the garden has its unique sound which enhances the ambience of the palace.

    The garden has marvelled elephants and many beautiful fountains. The palace was the favourite spot for the royal ladies and they along with their male and female companions would use it to stroll around and relax .

  3. Jagdish Temple
    Jagdish TempleJagdish Temple is another famous hindu temple in the Udaipur city of Rajasthan. It was originally named as the Jagannath Rai Temple but was later changed to Jagdish Temple.

    The temple was built in 1651 and is raised on a very tall terrace and attaches a double storey hall to a double storey ambulatory.

    Fateh Sagar LakeUnlike Dudh lake, this is an artificial lake and is situated in the city of Udaipur. The lake is named after Maharana Fateh Singh of Udaipur and Mewar and was constructed in the 1680s. This is located to the north-west direction of Udaipur, to the north of Lake Pichola.

    The lake supports and sustains ground water recharge and water for drinking, agricultural and industrial purposes and provide employment to around 60 percent of Udaipur population. The lake is beautiful and should be seen during a visit to Udaipur.

    Ahar-UdaipurAhar is a museum in Rajasthan which is about 2 kilometers east of Udaipur. There are around 19 chattris in the museum that commemorate the 10 maharajas who were cremated here after their death.
  7. Bagore ki Haveli
    Bagore ki HaveliBagore-ki-Haveli is another beautiful haveli in Udaipur city of Rajasthan. It was built in the eighteenth century in front of  lake Pichola at Gangori Ghat by Shri Amarchand Badwa, who was the Prime Minister of Mewar that time.The haveli has many rooms which show the unique blend of modern art and also have glass and mirror works on them. The walls of the Queen’s Chamber are decorated with mewar paintings.
