6.   Once they are well drained and dried they are ready for shallow frying

8.   Deep shallow all the dried potatoes fries and take out of the pan one by one

9.   Allow them to cool and store in a zip lock bag in refrigerator

10.   Store there atleast for 2 hours before deep frying them. You can store overnight also if need to make them the next day

11.   Take out the fries out of the refrigerator the next day and repeat the step 7 above. But this time deep fry the already shallow fried fries

12.   Take them out one by one on tissue paper to remove any extra oil

13.   Sprinkle them with chaat masala, black salt or any other masala

14.   Serve them with tomato sauce

4. Tudkiya Bhat

Tudkiya Bhat is like a pulao/veg biryani but is cooked in a very unique way by himachali people.

Babru is like a north-India dosa that is made in South India and is made with rice powder. Many places it is called “Enkaliyan” also. Babru is added with the stuffing of black gram paste. To prepare this, oil is sprinkled on frying pan. The fine batter of rice powder with black gram paste is spread on it evenly and allows it to cook.   1. Add 2 tablespoon of yogurt in a large utensil and keep collecting cream over 10 to 13 days from boiled and cooled milk.

9 Tips to store Ghee to use it for long?

  1. Ghee is butter, without lactose and casein, so it’s beneficial for people who are lactose intolerant
  2. Ghee usually has long self life(8-10 no months) but discard using it in case you find any change in physical appearance and smell
  3. Always cover the ghee container with their lids to avoid any dust to enter in it
  4. Try to consume homemade ghee within three months of its manufacturing.  If quantity is more, better to store it in a refrigerator. You can also take out some quantity of ghee in a small container for daily use
  5. Make sure to keep it in a cabinet, away from direct light
  6. The container should be free from any moisture
  7. Always take ghee with clean spoon or ladder
  8. Ghee stored in air tight containers have longer self life. They need not to be refrigerated, just keep it in dry and cool area of your kitchen
  9. Avoid keeping the lid open for long and do not mix spoons with others

How to know Desi Ghee is expired and not fit for use?

If desi ghee is stored properly following the above tips, you can increase its shell life for long. But once you see any change in its color or smell, do not use it. This shows that it has got some impurities and chemcal reaction, so it not fit for use.
