Ingredients:

  • 4-5 green cardamom pods (or 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom)
  • 4 cups of water
  • Sugar or sweetener (optional)

  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. If using cardamom pods, gently crush them to release their flavor. If using ground cardamom, skip this step.
  2. In a saucepan, add the water and cardamom pods (or ground cardamom).
  3. Bring the water to a boil and then reduce the heat to low.
  4. Allow the cardamom to simmer in the water for about 5-10 minutes, depending on how strong you want the flavor to be.
  5. Remove the saucepan from heat and let the cardamom water cool down.
