Mother’s Day is a celebration in the honour of mother of the world or those who shower unconditional love like mothers. This is celebrated on various parts of the world in various dates.

Mother is an epitome of love, affection, dedication and is often compared with God. Like god takes care of the whole world, the mother takes care of her kids and sacrifices all her happiness for their sake.

At home, a mother’s role is to keep a bonding between the family members, to look after the older members, prepares food for everyone,  and takes care of dozens of other things without looking at her happiness and convenience.

To recognise her efforts and the unconditional love, a day in the year is kept reserved for all the mothers of the world which is celebrated as Mother’s Day.

When is Mother’s Day

Across the globe different versions of Mother’s Day are celebrated at different dates but feeling behind all is the same.

In the United States, Mother’s Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May. While, in many countries like Arab countries, Mother’s Day is celebrated always on 21st March.

In countries like Ireland and United Kingdom, Mother’s Day is celebrated on the fourth Sunday.

People of Thailand celebrate Mother’s Day in the month of August on the birth date of current queen, “Sirkit”.

How to celebrate Mother’s Day?

It’s a holiday on Mother’s Day so people use their best to celebrate. There are many ways we can celebrate this like:

  1. Gift flowers
  2. Gift card
  3. Dresses, jewelry
  4. Take out your mothers out for lunch or dinner
  5. Prepare a breakfast and keep them away from kitchen
